Diamond Turning

We have recently taken delivery of a Nanotech Ultra Precision Lathe also known as a diamond turning lathe.

This lathe enables us to machine optical surfaces on aluminium including off axis parabolic mirrors.
Optical components in plastics.
Infrared Optics.
Even though we cannot machine stainless steel or other steel types, these can be nickel plated and diamond turned to produce a mirror surface.
